Professor Jing Li, currently Associate Editor for Journal of Solid State Chemistry, has recently become a Topic Editor for a second journal, Crystal Growth & Design (CGD) (http://pubs.acs.org/page/cgdefu/editors.html).
Crystal Growth & Design (http://pubs.acs.org/crystal) is an American Chemical Society journal and the current leader in the publication of research articles on all aspects of the crystalline state with rapid growth in the number of published articles, citations and impact factor. The latest Thomson-Reuters ISI Journal Citation Report (2008) gave an Impact Factor of 4.215 for CGD, once again the #1 journal in crystallography. In addition, citations to the journal grew to 7,670, an increase of 52.0% over 2007. This moves the journal up two steps in citation rankings (from #9 to #7).
The Topic Editors for Crystal Growth & Design will act in an advisory capacity for the Editor and Associate Editors. The Topic Editors will also be requested to handle the review process for papers within their areas of expertise.
The appointment would be for two years, starting January 1, 2010.
