DavidMoore v2We are happy to welcome Dave Moore to CCB in the role of Academic Coordinator (NTT Faculty member).  This position is designed to bridge the gap between administrative activities and instructional and student support efforts. Most immediately, Dave will be focusing on streamlining the scheduling of instructors and teaching assistants for our undergraduate courses.  In the longer term, he will be assisting in the development and organization of our undergraduate and graduate curricula, writing grants to secure personnel development funds (e.g. GAANN) and instrumentation, and helping with recruiting efforts for Ph.D. students and chemistry majors.

Dave received his B.A. in Chemistry from Williams College and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UNC Chapel Hill.  He then did postdoctoral work at the FOM Institute for Plasma physics in the Netherlands, and at UC Berkeley.  He subsequently moved to Lehigh University where he developed a research program investigating interactions between molecules and ions in cryogenic matrices using vibrational spectroscopy.  Dave's teaching resume includes a range of courses in physical and analytical chemistry, but his favorite course to teach is general chemistry.  He is looking forward to meeting you and learning about your perspectives on graduate and undergraduate teaching, and how you would like to see Rutgers CCB evolve in those areas.  Dave is currently located in WR 135, and can be reached at This email address is being protected from spambots.
