Undergraduate Students
Advaith Dhruwa
Advaith is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He is pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Rutgers University (New Brunswick) as part of the class of 2027. He joined the Goldman Group in Fall 2025 as an undergraduate. His current research involves transformation of small molecules using pincer-ligated iridium catalysts. Outside of the lab, he likes to play guitar and sing.
Nathanel Aviges
Nate was born and raised in New Jersey. He was originally interested in heterocyclic chemistry, physical chemistry, and analytical chemistry. His interests later shifted to environmental chemistry, specifically how physical and analytical chemistry can be used to study the fate and transport of organic pollutants. He is currently interested in catalytic design and in deriving physical properties using computational chemistry. In the Goldman lab, he conducts research on C-H activation using Ir catalysts. Whenever he is not in the lab, he enjoys reading, exploring parks and bird watching.
Ethan Song
Ethan was born and raised in the great state of New Jersey. In 2024, he joined the Goldman group as an undergraduate researcher, working on combined experimental and computational approaches to organometallic chemistry. He then transferred to Cornell University in 2025 where he currently works in the Lavagnino lab on catalytic organic methods development.
